Dear Graduate,
First let me start by congratulating those who have made it to this day; graduation day, 2007. The long awaited day has arrived when all the hard work of years, culminates in this day of celebration. The people that helped you along the way, even if they weren't certain of the outcome, never withdrew their love and support. You know who they are. Just look into the crowd and you will see them, buttons popping, dabbing away a tear or two. It's your day, but you didn't get here alone.
There is not enough time in one's lifetime to learn everything there is to know. You may be an expert in your field and your opinion highly sought, but never get to the point where you think there is no more to learn. Be humble but strong in your convictions, most of all, be true to yourself.
Remember what your parents, grandparents, teachers, aunts, uncles or other mentors taught you, because they are the ones who cared enough to reprimand you, punish you or whatever was necessary to impart the value system that you will carry with you on your journey.
I will close by saying, no matter how far away you may be in miles, look back on this day and never forget where you came from or the people that helped you get here, it's their day too.
Congratulations all.

Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)Cari, the advice you gave deserves 5 stars for content and I gave that to you. Your message to the grads should help them into the future. There is no formatting to this beautiful article. There are no paragraph breaks and there should be. There should also be one space after periods. Sometimes the formatting is lost when transferring a Microsoft Word document. This may be what happenend without you being aware of it. Keep writing!
Cari, you are a beautiful person. I say that because of your spirit and heart. You accepted my input with humility and the grace of a woman. One never knows how someone will interpret their good intentions when trying to offer help. You were very gracious and made changes to your article. I thank you! I noticed you are even a fan of mine. I'm just beside myself because of you . . . who you are! Thank you, Cari.
Thank you for your comments. I enjoy reading your articles, most recently,"The meek gets it all" was brilliantly conceived, imo.
